Day 4

Day 4 was a GREAT day! We had breakfast and a group worship time. After the worship service we were on our own to explore the city. The first group was leaving and the leaders for the next group were coming in. Jane (my roomie for two weeks), Daniel Byrd, Vicki, Lori (the two leaders), and I went to the mall here in Cluj. We took a day off just to relax and kind of focus on what God did the past few weeks and to prepare for what was to come this next week. We ran quickly to the mall where I had some good 'ole KFC chicken fingers- they were AMAZING! After that we ran back to the hotel to see the first group off. Each day for lunch the hotel would give everyone TWO sandwiches, chips, dessert, and a water. Most of the time people didn't even eat one sandwich. We always had somuch food left over. Daniel decided that we should drive into the villages and pass out the extra food. This was an amazing thing for me to see. It was so much different than a youth camp or anything. It is simply us fulfilling a basic need. It just really meant a lot to me to see the joy that these people had when we were handing out the food. It truly was one of my favorite moments of this trip so far. I was blessed to be a part of it.
