Recap of the first day on the field

First off, I am sorry about the internet problem. I am going to update everything today and tomorrow though. Thank you for faithfully praying for me and the Roma people. In fact, everyone was so excited about the internet, that we had a Skype party on the steps of the hotel.

Each day has been great. We get up early and head out to the church. We have group worship there where we prepare our minds and hearts for the day. We have been blessed with a wonderful pastor, Richard, who is a missionary in Bucharesti, Romania. He challenged us each day before we went out onto the field. After lunch, we would pack up and go out on the field. I was in Camarasu. This village has my heart. I love these kids, and I have gotten to see them grow and change over the past few years. I look forward to seeing them and catching up. The first day we did the story of Noah's Ark for the younger kids. Many of them have heard it, but they loved hearing the story. We did a craft with them where they decorated a paper boat like the ark. The kids had so much fun, and there were so many of them. For the rest of the time there we just played games with them and sang different songs. It was a great time to just build friendships with the children. After that, we went to dinner then back to Mociu for a youth rally. The youth here have never had a youth rally. A youth rally is when youth from all of the surrounding villages get together to sing, play games, and have a Bible study. The youth were very excited about this. We had only one bus, so the driver would continue to go pick up more youth and bring them back. We had alot of christians and those who were not christians there. We also had a church FULL of gyspsies. We were in a Romanian church, which again is unheard of. The Romanians generally do not care for the gypsies. They are outcasted and not always seen as an equal person. In fact, many Romanians believe that gypsies do not have souls. For a Romanian church to open their doors to gypsy youth,..... WOW, God, thank you for the blessing! Just to give you an idea of the people, church, and their language I am going to post a video of some of the youth in Camarasu when they sang for us at the youth rally.

After a very long day, we went back to the hotel and crashed. All to get up and do it again in the morning. :)
