How can an atheist be so right and so wrong at the same time? (Hear me out)
Penn Jillette is an atheist. He does not believe in God, and he will say so at any chance that he is given. He has a radio show and was also on Dancing with the Stars. This very outspoken man has made some very true points with his claims. Penn talks about how much he does NOT believe in God so much that I do not understand why he devotes that much time to talking about it. If there was something that he felt absolutly certain that did not exist, then why does he spend every chance he can to claim that he does not believe? I would feel indifferent about something that I believed was not there, yet, he still has this drive and desire to constantly talk about God. As he talks about God he is mocking Him. He is tearing His name down and trying to prove that God does not exist. He specifically says, "If anyone can PROVE that God exists, then I am all in." What if it were the flip side? What if he said, "If anyone can PROVE God does NOT exist, then I am all out"? God has been proven through testimonies and miracles. The fact that this earth is here proves that God exists. If God simply stepped down and appeared to Penn, which God could do if He chose to, then what would FAITH be? God has NEVER been proven to NOT exist even by the unbeliever. The Bible tells us that even the demons believe there is one God. (James 2:19) Atheists can not prove without a shadow of a doubt that God does NOT exist. Yet, those who do not believe do not see how christians have the faith that God does exist. Truth is that the Bible, God's Word, actually proves so many things true about God. Penn claims that he has actually read the Bible several times. I actually believe him. He seems fairly knowledgeable about Paul's teachings and other things within the Bible. I want you to watch this video before reading on:

Penn has read God's word. He is obviously under some sort of inner-battle/struggle as much as he talks about God. So...my question is... why in the world does he still think one true God is impossible? After watching this video, I have realized a good reason why he and so many others may not ever come to know Christ. We as christians do not live the life that we are called by God to live. We are treating this relationship with Christ like it is something to be ashamed of or something to keep quiet. He was obviously shaken up just by a man giving him a Bible and seeming genuine and caring. What do we look like as christians? Do we look like love? Do we look like we actually care about all of these people dying in their sins and bound for hell? Are we throwing judgements at people instead of throwing out God's word and God's love? Is it the christians of today's world that is turning so many people off to knowing God? He has the choice, and he can make the choice to follow God... but I can almost see his point. Why would he want to follow a God when the people who already believe it are not running out and sharing it with those who do not know it. Does it seem fake to him if we are saying one thing but acting another way? I have heard the analogy with the bus before. To summarize, if someone is about to get hit by a bus and killed, would you not do all that you could to save them or let them know what could happen if they didn't move?! Same thing with knowing God. These people are dying and going to hell, but we seem indifferent. We turn our heads, change the subject, or avoid the topic altogether as people are like the ones in front of the bus. It's as if since we know God, then we are complacent. We forget what it is like to be in that position of not knowing who God was. We forget how fragile and broken our lives were. Whoever told you about God...what if they didn't? What if they were scared it would hurt your feelings, or what if they were afraid it would be "awkward" to bring Jesus up?
This video really got me thinking. I do not agree with Penn on many many things, but I do see how christians of today are hurting the people who need to hear about Jesus. Many christians today are not treating christianity like the HUGE deal it actually is. It's the BEST news in the world... right at our finger tips, and what are we doing with it?
