Monday Night
We were blessed SO much on Monday and Tuesday! It was amazing! God is doing a work through our translators. On Monday we planned out our week in the morning. In the afternoon we held a youth rally again. We held the youth rally at the same church as the week before. A Romanian church, full of gypsies- you just don't see that in Romania. We had more youth come than the week before. It was great! We played games and sang a lot. Then we went inside and shared testimonies and shared the parable of the lost sheep. During this time it was my duty to be the "bathroom nazi." I guess we all have a gift, and mine is apparently making sure only one kid at a time gets up for the bathroom. We learned that the hard way the first week, because they get up in groups of tens to go use the one little outhouse outside. With the little Romanian I know, I could make sure only one kid at a time went and the distractions were cut down. I guess we really all do serve in different ways. :) In the middle of the service our translator, Mihai, felt God calling him to share with them. He is gypsy too, so he can relate well and get the most respect from the youth. He preached for about 15-20 minutes. As he preached in Romanian the Americans were all praying for those who were hearing the gospel for the very first time. Next thing I know, there was a young man from Balda to come forward. He had never been to the rally before. He was the first one up to the front though. At this time we noticed a young lady gasp and start crying. We weren't sure what was going on with her, but we knew God was speaking. We had several other youth come forward to make decisions to become believers or if they were believers they came down and repented. It was BEAUTIFUL! After the service another one of our FARM team (Far Away Roma Missions- Gypsies/Roma being missionaries/translators) members stayed back and talked to the young lady who had gasped and cried. It ends up that the young man that went down was actually her husband. It had shocked her that much that he would go down in front of everyone to make a decision for Christ. After talking and praying with her, she decided she wants to be a christian so bad. God is calling her. Sadly, her response it that she is way too ashamed to call herself a christian now. She has it all reversed. She thinks, like many, that you must be perfect first. She is sadly mistaking though, because we will NEVER be perfect on this earth. That's the whole point of Christ giving up His life. He was the only perfect one. Please continue to pray for her and for the others that may be dealing with the same struggle.
