Tuesday (Week 2)

Thank you for your prayers this week. They have been so helpful, and this time here in Romania has been great. On Tuesday we started our children's camps in the villages. This team is much larger than the last, so we were able to go into more villages for the children's camps. This week I was at Sambole. We had to walk down the hill to get to the village. When the children saw us coming they got in a straight line and started waving at us. I have never seen a more peaceful and controlled village in Romania. The kids stayed in a straight line until we got to them and spoke to them. This village was much smaller than Camarasu, but they were so happy we were there. The adults started bringing blankets from their homes for us to come and sit on. The kids all paired up and took hold on the Americans hands. The communication was difficult, but they knew we were there to love them. We played "Rata, Rata, Gusca" forever with them. Afterwards we sang Romanian songs and we told the story of the Good Samaritan. These people hung on every word that was spoken. We had babies- 80 year olds. They were so interested in what we had to say and why we were there. I see God doing a work in this village. This is a village where the missionary and Americans have not always been welcome, but you would have never known it by their hospitality and interest this time. We held another youth rally at Mociu in the evening. The rally went great! We had a chance to talk to those who had prayed the night before. Please keep them in your prayers, because I know they are struggling when their decisions about becoming a christian. Lastly, please keep the church in Mociu in your prayers and the gypsy youth. There were a few roadblocks with the church allowing a church full of youth. They do not think that youth can become believers, so some people in the church are wanting us to move the youth rally out of the church. The youth have asked us to worship in God's house, and this is the only church available for us to use. Thanks for your prayers, and please continue praying!! Peace and love!
