Thursday ( Week 2)

Today was our last day on the field for this group. We had amazing worship in the morning before going out into the villages. Today our whole focus was on the gospel presentation. We wanted nothing more but to leave these people hearing God's word. We went to Samboleni for our youth camps. There we did games, Bible stories, and singing. After the Bible story on the lost sheep, we asked if anyone had questions. At this time a man started asking questiong about who Jesus actually was, and he was also very curious about John the Baptist. This opened the door for us to talk about more things with him. As he and the translators were talking back and forth everyone around started listening to what was being said. Another translator, Ana Maria, stepped in and started giving her testimony. The people listened very quietly, and I could tell that God was working in them. She is a Roma herself, so it was so easy for her to relate to these people. She explained to them how to be saved. It was amazing!! Seeing every adult, child, and even baby sitting there listening intently... I could tell the Holy Spirit was there. We had five people who asked how they can become a follower of Jesus. They prayed to recieve Christ and they have asked for a Bible study in their village. Many of them can not read, but they also want Bibles in their village. We also had two men who are not ready to become christians, but they are asking questions and have asked us to pray for them to be brave. It was a GREAT day to end our ministry on for this week! At night, we went to a new village called Naiou. It is one of the poorest villages that I have been to. There we held what would have been our youth rally. The people were so happy that we were there. In that village there were only two believers. Before we left the two who are believers asked us to please pray for those who weren't. They also prayed for more Bibles, because they only have one for their whole village. Please pray for this Christian couple as they are the light in their villages. Peace and love!
